bvi1-r1-Layer2-s0--s0-Layer3-r2
You have a routed interface on one end of the serial link and a bridged
interface on the other end. If you run debug on r1 you will see
"encapsulation failed" messages.
This will work:
bvi-r1-Layer2-s0--s0-Layer2-r2-bvi
