Site A is ptp and site B is PTP but the HUB is physical. If Site A sends a
prune to the Hub, the spoke B would never hear the PIM Prune so it wouldn't
know it needed to send a prune override if it still wanted to receive the
multicast stream. With NBMA-mode, the hub keeps track of each of the
neighbors and in your "sh ip mroute" it would be possible to have one
neighbor in "prune" state while the other is in "forward" mode.

From what I have read this is an option to improve performance but not
necasarry for Multicast to function over Frame etc. Am I correct in this
assumption ?
