That's a standalone switch, and the led blinks orange. The interface status
is up/up. However I didnot try with another vlan. Maybe I can try that.

Are you connecting to a cluster of switches?
What happens when you leave as a standalone switch do the led's turn
green?
Have you tried creating another vlan and putting the port in the new
vlan?
