I am going over my IPExpert lab and couldn't figure out how to do the
following requirements. Their answers key does not fulfill the requirements
of the question at all. I posted on their forum and haven't got any response
yet. Any thoughts on any of the items would be appreciated:
Configure all ROUTERS to log error to a server at x.x.x.x, using the
following information:
----change logging for VTP and spanning to log warnings to the server but
leave all others to the default.
....
-----enable logging for the session.
Configure the Catalyst to also log to x.x.x.x. Every trap should have a
unique id number. Trap should only be sent when:
------every time a spurious memory access message is generated.
------whenever any of the ports flap ==> should this be mac-notification or
STP/bridge, or neither>
-------whenever switch crashes
....
Anyone has any recommended study material for this type of subjects?
Configuration guide does not have a whole lot of information on logging, for
example, what are the differences of different facilities, what is snmp
flash update, etc.
Thank you for your help.
Connie
