Management? Weak response dude. The Managers that I work for all have
their CCIE certifications. They are great mentors, and great engineers.
However, they have figured out what thing that you have not, character will
define your career path. I have met CCIEs who don't deserve to be in IT, as
a matter of fact, one that works for one of my competitors just got kicked
off of a customer site for his attitude, one just like your attitude. Lost
his job the next day.
Why did you go to CyscoExpert? To find answers? You couldn't just look
them up on CCO? Say whatever you want to say, but your harsh reply to
someone asking an innocent question was in bad taste. You actually define
"old school" IT dude....you are perfect for IT. Please stay out of any
consulting position or management position. Stay in IT. Keep making people
feel bad for asking a question, and then some day, you will be looking in
the mirror asking yourself a question....with a pink slip in your hand, and
it will probably be because you made a wisecrack or made someone feel dumb
for asking a question.
Please, stay in whatever IT position you are in today. You are a perfect IT
person.
Good luck in IT, Tosser.
