the image you are transferring via xmodem is corrupt.
download the image again from Cisco.com and start xmodem using '-c' option
for checksumming.

Subject: 2610 Flash problem!

Hi Group,
I have a strange problem with 2610 flash system. I am working on a remote
rack. I wanted to do an IOS upgrade. So i use Hyperterminal with xmodem/1k
option. I connect via winsock option in the Hypertermenal.

I tried this setup before and it worked fine. I did many upgrades using this
typical setup before.

My problem today is that i lost the connection during the upgrade. I have
the old IOS on the router so NO PROBLEMS with reloading or accessing the
router.

The problem is that each time i try to start xmodem sesion again, the
session goes through and the transfer starts. then it just hanges with a
"remote system error" after 1min.

I check in the flash to see this entry:

 2 3477504 c2600-js-mz.120-26.bin [invalid checksum]

when i tried to delete this file it gets back with an error message saying
that the file or directory is not available!!!

Is this flash entry the reason for my xmodem sesion problem?? How can i get
rid of it??

Note: I tried to restart the router. And do't want to try erase flash to
avoid loosing the operational image.

Thanks
Hossam
