I think yr interpratation to the wording is much better than mine. It really seems that they only need to stop explorers but not deny all traffic.
I think icanreach is what the requirment needs.
But, let us confirm the other two issues too as they are already raised.
1- If we need to prevent some stations in a router's LAN interface (with bridging enabled) from network access, which direction shoud we apply the address-list. input or output.
I think the answer that i reached is: "it works both ways".
The explanation is that mac address list works for source MAC address if applied with an input-address-list. On the other hand it works for destination MAC address if applied with an output-address-list.
