Here is what I got;
Let me start from step 2 from Nguyen;
2) Normalize the numbers by dividing by the lowest number: > >
.02/.01 = 2
.02/.01 = 2
.0166/.01 = 1.66
.01/.01 = 1
Then from his method we could get those byte counts;
IP 3000
IPX 3000
SNA 3000
Telnet 1500
Quote from cisco press book IP quality of service Page96 bottom
paragraph"Setp7, if the actual bandwidth is not close enough to the desired
bandwidth, multiply the orignal ratio in step 2 by the best value,. ... the
multiplier you use need not to be an integer"
So I choose multiply by 2, and still not get the desired value. Then I
choose 3
2*3=6
2*3=6
1.66*3=4.98
1*3=3
Step3; Any fraction in any of the ratio values means an additional packet
so I get
6
6
5
3
Step4; Multiply by the packet size, so I get
9000
9000
7500
4500
Hope it helps. Thanks!
