I recently ran across a practice lab with this scenario where they used
distribute-lists to avoid issues with routing loops. I don't see a need for
distribute-lists when redistributing EIGRP and OSPF. Due to the default AD
for EIGRP internal(90) and external(170) routes, the EIGRP networks will
always be preferred through EIGRP, and the OSPF networks will always be
preferred through OSPF.
Besides, the use of distribute-lists negates the fault tolerance inherent in
networks with multiple redistribution points.
Can someone please verify or tell me what I am missing?
TIA,
Joe Martin
