At RTP you have the option to use the cd-rom or connect "off-site" to an
intranet!? -- a lot quieter then the noisy cd-rom. No Internet access. You
also get notepad and the calculator (handy for those binary to hex/dec
conversions). In addition, you get CRT with a window per router or single
session to the access-server, toggling in-between your routers. A couple of
color pencils, 2 sheets of paper and the lab booklet.
That's it!
(sodas, coffee, water and the most expensive lunch you'll probably ever eat,
if you don't pass!)
;)

Hi Joe,
I was under the impression that there wasn't any internet access from the
lab - restricted or otherwise. The last time I took the ccie lab exam at
RTP about 2 years ago, there was no internet access. When did that change?
Is that true for all lab sites? And, finally, are you telling me something
you know from first hand knowledge or is this a rumor?
Jim
