Not sure what information they are reading, but password recovery on a Cat
5500 is very simple, actually... Here goes: just reboot the switch and you
basically have 30 seconds where the passwords (even the enable password) are
blank. Just hit 'enter' right as the first prompt appears, type enable, and
hit enter at that prompt. You have your full config running and can change
the password(s) now. If it isn't working, you are missing the 30 second
window...
