The scoring is as described on the web. You are given specific tasks
with point values. If you meet the requirements of that task, you get
the points. If not, not. The use of the Documentation CD (or the paper
copies thereof) neither adds to or subtracts from the point values.

Your time searching for things on the CD or printed IOS documentation
is time that you don't have to do other things, like complete tasks with
point values. You can play Minewseeper if you want and doing so won't
count against you, or for you if you do well. But it will take time.
That's what you need to be concerned about.
