Pierre-Alex,
I would suggest that you save the money and rent some rack time from 6Colabs or Bradshaw labs. This would also allow you to practive ATM.
You can a 12 hour sessions at $45.00/session. Study the Voice over IP Quick Start Guide. I think this should be sufficient.
This is what I did for both my lab attempts and it worked out fine for me.

Subject: Purchase Advice needed : Voice
1) What is the difference between the two following case scenarios :
(--> means connects)
A.Cisco ubr924--> Router with serial via ethernet --> Frame-relay cloud
B.Router with voice-modules and serial ---> Frame-relay cloud
My gess is that the frame-relay router will treat voice data as normal ip traffic in scenario A, and therefore the configurations would have to be much different than with scenario B. Can you confirm?
2) I have a 2600 and a 3600 I got from work but no voice modules.
I have $400 on my budget currently for extra gears. Rather than buy the ubr924, I could wait a bit and buy the NM-2V and the FX module. It may take me 2 / 3 months to same the money though.
Good choice bad choice?
3) I have a 3550 , a 2924XL and a 1900. Should I forget about the voice all together and try to get a substitue for the 3550 ... or another 3550. What's most important.
Thanks,
Pierre-Alex
