If you want the ISDN to only come up when the primary route is lost then
do not configure a dialer-list. Without the dialer-list OSPF can not
make a call. If you want OSPF to run across the link and make calls even
if the primary route is in the routing table then use a dialer-list that
permits OSPF and configure a demand circuit if desired. It isn't a
common situation to have dialer watch and OSPF demand circuit on the
same link.

Subject: only watch-list will not working

Hi , group

I am doing the practise of watch-list now,
RouterA----------RouterB was connected by isdn. and
running in one ospf area. I set the watch-list on routerA
for seeing RouterB's etherport. But the isdn couldn't stop
to dialing. Debug the dialer , I found from A still has
sent the ospf hello packet every 10 sec. So, I have to add
the ip os demand command on A's bri port, so I want to
know, only the watch-list couldn't stop to dialing on a
bri , really?

Thanks alot
