RE: basic isdn problem

Remove pap authentication and then try to call. Think about it like
this, if you can't make a simple call across why have it on. Actually
you could just remove PPP all together. As a side note you need the "ppp
pap sent-username" interface command on for PAP authentication. Even if
your ISDN switch worked you wouldn't be able to authenticate with PAP
using your config.

You should be able to test with just this config:

R5:
interface BRI1/0
isdn switch-type basic-ni
isdn spid1 5101 5001
isdn spid2 5102 5002

R6:
interface BRI0
isdn switch-type basic-ni
isdn spid1 6101 6001
isdn spid2 6102 6002

First do a "show isdn status" and make sure you have multiple frames
established along with spidX send, spidX valid. Then do an "isdn call
interface bri1/0 6001" from R5. You should see it connect to R6 if the
ISDN switch is working. You could also try it from R6 (isdn call
interface bri0 5001)

The isdn switch is a nortel pbx.

Here is the debug dialer message on R5:

I think the second last message is something related to the problem. But
I
am not familiar with the pbx system, so I cannot fix it.
Any suggestion is appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Jeff
