I've got this directly from Cisco for a similar case:
The system would not have allowed you to schedule the date if you were
outside the policy limitations/guidelines.

Asunto: CCIE written expiry ---Grace Period
Hello ,
I hate to post this here. There have many questions here about CCIE written exam expiry timelines.
Nonetheless , this case sounds baffling to me.The validity of the CCIE written is 18 months right ?
If thats the case my written exam's validity expires on Aug 19 .However the system has allowed me
to take a Aug 23 date which seems a little bizzare to me.Is there any grace period or something ?
I want to straighten this out because I want to pay the fees in a few days.
The key question is does it implicitly mean that I have to retake the written exam yet again?
Please share your thoughts with me.
Cheers
Kris
