Finally, the number comes: CCIE#11683, sounds a nice
one!
It has been a long journey to the CCIE. When I made my
first attempt a few months ago, I was not ready at
all. The switching part took me at least two hours and
it seemed there were tricks everywhere. My second
attempt was very very close to pass. Actually if I
would have been a little more careful, I would have
passed it. But I did make some 'trivial' mistake and
it JUST made me fail. It was three months from my
second attempt to this one. It turns out that this
period is a great blessing for me. I went through all
IOS docs a couple of times and make sure UNDERSTAND
most of them, not just remember where to find the
material at the exam. Technically it made me much
stronger and more mature to handle challenging
senario.
So for those who already failed a couple of times,
please don't be despaired. If you treat your failure
with appropriate attitude, you may get greater reward
than those who passed at the first attempt.
Good luck to all those who are on the way.
Cheers!
