I suppose you could try to create some electrical disturbance, like running
the cable near florescent lights, or wiggling the connector constantly to
create a lot of errors. It's definitely easier to do with UTP than a serial
cable. HTH.

Anything to disrupt the signal will do. Are you talking about a
crossover
cable and DSUs, or just a DCE-DTE serial cable?
