Hello,
What does the name option in the dialer map command does?

According to the Cisco IOS documentation 12.1 the following is stated:
wp1042863Name : (Optional) Indicates the remote system with which the local
router or access server communicates. Used for authenticating the remote
system on incoming calls.
Which basically means that the name option is used to authenticate on
incoming calls. I 've tried with and without the name option but it doesn't
seem to make any different.
Does anybody have any ideas about this option?
regards
Tarig Hamdi
