Does anyone have the IRC server address? I don't see it listed.

Subject: IRC Server for Lab Candidates

Illustrious Listmembers,

As many of you are doubtless aware, I have been running an IRC server
for
CCIE lab candidates since September of 2001. I wish to extend a cordial
invitation to all those new listmembers that would like to join us for
real-time camaraderie and shared insight on the way to CCIE
certification.
I would also like to encourage any and all of our various "alumni" to
drop
in and say hello and contribute to the discussion.

To date well over thirty regulars have reached the goal. A considerable
number of us are now working on either other CCIE tracks, Juniper or
senior
security certifications (or all three at the same time) and regularly
contribute to the discussions. If you need quick answers or simply a
place
to howl and gnash your teeth in frustration, puzzle out the IRC FAQ and
come
join us!

If you are unfamiliar with IRC, you can get up to speed quickly by
reading
this:

http://www.mirc.com/irc.html
http://www.mirc.com/ircintro.html

Download the mIRC shareware client and away you go. If you are on a
UNIX
platform, I will assume that you probably know how to use IRC and can
get a
client from http://www.bitchx.com. If you are overwhelmed by running a
plethora of IM clients, look into Trillian (
http://www.trillian.cc/trillian/index.html ). Trillian includes an IRC
client as well as support for most instant messaging platforms and
protocols.

When you drop by, be patient if you don't get an immediate response to
your
questions, many of us are labbing, working, sleeping and stay idle while
doing so so that we can scroll through the conversation and address
issues
when we have time. The best thing to do is just log in and stay logged
in,
post a question and if you don't get an immediate response then check
back
in an hour or two.

The IRC server is of course provided as a free service to the Internet
community. We look forward to seeing you.

Best of luck in your studies!

Geoff Zinderdine

; for he today that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother; be he
ne'er
so vile, this day shall gentle his condition: and gentlemen in England
now
a-bed shall think themselves accused they were not here, and hold their
manhoods cheap whiles any speaks that fought with us upon Saint
Crispin's
day."
