What are the warning and shutdown thresholds for
Cat4000 series switches? I've had 3 fail on me
in the past month at remote sites with suboptimal
cooling systems. The show test command includes
the chassis temperature only.
The spec sheets say ambient operating temperature is
between 32 and 104 F (0 to 40 C). What does this
translate to on the Chassis temperature?? Looked
around on CCO...couldnt find anything.
Any help is appreciated.

If you do a show environment temp in CatOS the inlet and outlet temps are
shown and in brackets are the warning and shutdown thresholds.
e.g.
Intake Exhaust Device 1 Device 2

1 28C(50C,65C) 37C(60C,75C) 34C 37C
If I do this on a native IOS 6500 it only gives the actual temperatures and
not the thresholds but I guess they would be the same
