set root of 3550

Hi, group

If I want to set the catalyst3550 for root of a vlan,
how to set it? I know 3550 had a command as "spanning-tree
mst 1 root" , but is the MST, that become the root of ALL
vlan, right? If I want to set the switch only for one
vlan's root, how to do that?
