You must supply a metric when redistributing into distance vector
protocols(rip, eigrp, igrp), unless the route is a connected or static route.
A metric of 0 is not compatible with them.

Subject: THE metric in redistribute
Hi, group
I found a very strange think when I do the
redistribute, for example, if I redistribute the ospf into
igrp or eigrp, I have to set the metric or default-metric,
or I will not get the redistribute!!
I redistributed the ospf into igrp and eigrp , but no
set the route even I cleared a mount of route. After I set
the metric in igrp or eigrp , the routes appeared
immediately. I don't know why.
And other routing protocol such as rip also keep the
charactor?
THanks alot
