Andrew,

This caused confusion for me too and then I read a post that explained Eigrp
split horizon is always on. Apparently it doesn't get turned off
automatically. And the only way to check if it is on or off is by checking
in your config to see if you turned it off. If you don't see the command "no
ip eigrp split horizon", then it is on (unlike rip/igrp split horizon which
you can check in the show interface output). I would think there is some
output besides the config to show eigrp split-horizon status, but to be
honest I stopped looking after that. If you come across a command, I'd be
interested to know.
