OK...Scenario....
2 6509 with MSFC2's, running HSRP (backbone routers). 1 server many clients, multiple VLAN's. Multi-cast routing enable on active and standby routers in Dense mode. CGMP running on all VLAN interfaces. Spanning tree root and HSRP Active coincide with each other.
Problem....With Multicast routing enabled on both routers (active and standby), the Multicast stream is being interrupted every 2-5 minutes and dropping the connection from Microsoft Windows Media Player.
Solution, disabled Multi-cast routing (globally) on standby router and Video streams stay connected......
