....debug is my friend in lab scenarios :)

RIP ver 1 can understand ver 2 but not vice versa.ver 1 will strip of the
unnecessary headers from the ver 2 update and use the ones it can
understand.
if u configure ver1 on the router and say "ip rip recieve ver2" .....it
works just fine.....but i am pretty sure that ver 1 cannot send ver 2
updates.
anyone has any info on RIPv6????
