Thanks all of you for the reply.

I got the insight in the sleep, too - actually with ISIS is should be
easier than with "IP designed protocols" since
dialer-list based on IP & dialer-watch list is enough to trigger the
call when needed, and we don't have to bother with denying ISIS traffic
uninteresting like in EIGRP or OSPF for example (general IP permit would
result with constant line up in a case of dialer watch)

Also, Brian Dennis mentioned with dialer-watch dialer-list is not
needed, at all. I'll try that out today, as well, makes sense but brain
too occupied to work properly. 10 more days to go :)

Many thanks again
Niksa

Niksa,

With dialer-watch, there is no need for a dialer-list to specify
interesting traffic. The dialer-watch list is the interesting traffic
instead.

The config for dialer-watch with IS-IS will be the same as with
any other IP routing protocol, but don't forget to map CLNS on the
interface. Remember that with any multipoint non-broadcast interface,
you need a static protocol mapping for any protocol you are running on
that interface. Since IS-IS is part of the CLNS stack, not the IP
stack, you must do a dialer map for CLNS.
