You can currently "route" vlans with the configuration you have. Your
supervisor is running Cat OS "Hybrid", but your msfc2 should be running
"IOS". If you do a show module from the switch prompt - you should see
that you have a module 15. From this point you can do
Switch>(enable)session 15
Router# "you should now be sitting at the router prompt"
and switch to the route module "msfc". This is where you would
configure your VLANs, and the "routing" of the VLANs.
Ex. Router#config t
Router(config)#int vlan 100
Router(config-if)#ip address 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.0
Router(config-if)#no shut
Depending on what routing protocol you are using, you will need to also
enter the specific network statements for this, and/or if you plan on
running hsrp between two different route modules. You can refer to the
documentation listed below to sort that out.
You would then need to create the VLAN on your switch to enable the
layer 2 VLAN segmentation
Ex. Switch>(enable)set vlan 100 state active name NewVlan
Unless you are wanting to go with strictly IOS for the switch, you don't
necessary have to in order to implement VLAN segmentation. Hope this
helps

If you are looking for instructions, then here you go:

As far as the config of layer 2 and layer 3 in native IOS after the
upgrade - if you know how to do it on the Cat3550 EMI you should be OK.
