Hi Jennifer,
I know that you were originally asking about the 3550 joining your OSPF
domain. But in looking over the remaining portions of you router configs
I've noticed some things that I believe are incorrect.
Check it out and see what you think. Let me premise this by saying that from
what I see for R2
and R3 you running a hub and spoke topology in OSPF Area 0.According to your
configs R2 would be the hub.I believe that you have a R5 somewhere and that
R5 should be the hub. Well here goes:)
R2
int S0
> ip ospf network point-to-multipoint
> ip ospf priority 0
You don't need the priority command since you have defined
point-to-multipoint. There is no DR/BDR election.
> frame-relay map ip 135.25.235.2 205 broadcast
>
> frame-relay map ip 135.25.235.3 205 broadcast
>
> frame-relay map ip 135.25.235.5 205 broadcast
Here is why I think this is a spoke router. You have your S0 and two other
routers mapped to one DLCI. If this were the hub they would be mapped to
different DLCI's. Also, in a point-to-multipoint OSPF network you do not
have to map the spokes to eachother. This network type will install a /32
route in the routing table.
> router ospf 1
> neighbor 135.25.235.5
> neighbor 135.25.235.3
The neighbor commands are not needed. You have a point-to-multipoint network
defined and you
only specify neighbors on non-broadcast because
they are needed to send unicast and only on the hub which should be the DR.
R3
int s0
Same issues as for R2 int S0.
!!!!!
Best of luck.
Danny
