Easy as using Windows Calculator :-))
1) convert 589824080 to hex - 0x23280050
2) take last 4 digits and convert them to decimal - 0x0050 is 80 decimal. Discard last 4 hex digits
3) take remaining digits and convert them to decimal - 0x2328 is 9000 decimal.
4) write result from step 3, colon, result from step 2 and You will get 9000:80.
HTH,
Cheers
Alex

Hi Group,
I configured a community list as follows,
ip community-list 1 permit 9000:80
When I looked at the running config , it was shown as random numbers
ip community-list 1 permit 589824080.
Does anybody know why it is showing differently in running config. How will you find the original community value from that random
numbers if one does know the actual community value.
