From the Integrating Voice and data text the three variables you noted are
"min threshold", "max threshold" and "mark probability" respectively.

Min is the queue depth when WRED is to go into action.
Max is when WRED adheres to the mark probability.
I believe the mark probability is the inverse of the number. So if you have
10 it is 1/10. (one out of 10 gets marked.)

Subject: RSVP mystery

Hi group,

For RSVP, is it true that one must accompany it with WFQ or WRED? I have
read a
number of e.g. from books and CCO, and they seem to either use:

interface s0
ip rsvp bandwidth 48 48 (48k reserved for interface + 48k reserverd per
call)
 random-detect
 random-detect precedence rsvp 230 256 100

but what does the 3 values mean?

OR

interface s0
 ip rsvp bandwidth 10 10
 fair-queue 64 256 1000

And, what does these 3 values mean?

Regards,
Hunt
