On this subject, is there anyway to tag vlan 1...im working between 2
different vendors hardware...the cisco 2950 by default does not tag vlan 1
traffic, but the other switch (enterasys) tags vlan 1 by default. for some
reason, the customer does not want to use a seperate vlan and make it
native, they want to keep vlan 1 and tag it at the cisco...any help would be
appreciated..thanks

Don't forget to set a default route also. (ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 x.x.x.x)

Fan,

There isn't an sc0 interface. Assumming your're communicating with the
switch on VLAN 1, just go into VLAN 1 interface and give it an IP
address and do a 'no shut' and you should be able to communicate with
this switch via IP now.

HTH,
Mike W.
