hey George,

yes a 10/100 PORT can be used as a destination for a GigaBitEthernet port
...but be carefull this might cause congestion on the switch if there is too
much traffic coming from from the Giga.

yes...you can even monitor a Giga Trunk port which is destined to a 10/100
port. But as i said earlier.....watch out for congestion.
