Hello all,
I passed on Monday in San Jose it was my first attempt. I felt good walking
out of the lab
and by the time I drove home I had thought myself right out of a
congratulations, a missed part of this question an over configuration of
another part and by this morning there was no reason to check my e-mail,
since it had not come in by late last night. I was already planning on the
next lab date. I felt that nothing I was presented was beyond my knowledge
but it was the little things and the interpretation of questions that had
sunk me. Lesson learned, don't over think the questions ask for
clarification. The proctors are more than willing to clear things up if your
not fishing for answers.
From those days of trying to get a ping across 3 routers to sitting for the
CCIE lab it has been fun, frustrating and most of all an exciting journey in
which I have learned so much about myself and what I am capable of, that the
number is a bonus !
I studied the same books we all know oh so well, learned how to navigate the
web site and most importantly the online cd.
I would like to thank Keyur and his staff at hellocomputers who were great
in their support.
Paul for starting this list it is such an invaluable resource the numerous
people who contribute and challenge you to think, Brian Dennis to name one
of many, my co-workers you know who you are.
My advice:
Practice practice practice, research, practice practice practice.
Take regular breaks from studying the brain ( at least mine )can only input
so much info at one time and find something that gets you out of your head
be it yoga, running, or dancing.
For me, it was yoga it reminded me to breathe in the lab, very important );
And now off to some nice spring time activities with someone who has softer
edges than my beloved routers and switches !!!
Regards,
~eric

We must never cease from exploration. And the end of all our exploring will
be to arrive where we began and to know the place for the first time.
