HI,
Do we have to enable bridging before configuring Local Area Mobility.
As mentioned on the cisco site that the following is required to
enable Local Area Mobility :
To create a mobility area with only one router, use the following commands in
the interface configuration mode:
Step 1 Router (config-if)#bridge group protocol (dec / ieee) Enables
bridging
Step 2 Router (config-if)#Interface type number Enter
Interface configuration mode
Step 3 Router (Config-if)#ip mobile arp
Enables local-area mobility
Step 4 Router (Config-if)#Bridge-group group
Configures bridging on the interface
Does anyone know why we have to enable bridging before configuring Local Area
Mobility ?
Tks
