Hi Group,

I saw the following config from a VoIP config...

RTA --- RTB
    PPP
    64kbps

Does anyone know what does a Virtual-Template interface do? I have used ppp
multilink & dialer-load threshold under BRI interface to combined 2 x 64k to a
faster ISDN link before, and I have used "Multilink interface" to combine serveral
Serial interface (with PPP encap) to create a larger pipe, but I have no idea what
this Virtual-Template interface do...

interface Virtual-Template1
 ip unnumbered Ethernet0/0
 ip rtp header-compression iphc-format
 ip tcp header-compression iphc-format
 fair-queue
 ppp multilink
 ppp multilink fragment-delay 20
 ppp multilink interleave
!
interface Ethernet0/0
 ip address 172.16.110.1 255.255.255.0
!
interface Serial0/0
 no ip address
 encapsulation ppp
 bandwidth 64
 no fair-queue
 clockrate 64000
 ppp multilink
!
multilink virtual-template 1 <---- Also, what does this do?

Any help / ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Hunt
