Do you have a Virtual link traversing the ISDN? Or is it just being formed
on one of the routers and going off to another router?

The link would stay up if the virtual link is going over it I would have
thought.

You stated it was 224.0.0.5 keeping the line up, this is the "all routers"
multicast address used for hellos's I don't think this would be used for the
virtual link.
