Brett,
If someone tries to tell you that your leased line is half-duplex ask
them to explain what is used by the end devices to determine who can
talk at a given time.
When you get stuck in these types of technical debates and you think you
are right, ask the other person to explain their answer in detail. I ran
into this exact same type of problem recently with a company I was
consulting with. This other consultant they had brought in earlier kept
saying that the solution I was recommending would not work. I just asked
him to explain why it would not work. Of course this was the last we saw
of him ;-)

Subject: Leased Lines
Hi,
Could somebody please confirm wheather leased line circuits are full or
half
duplex. A colleague and I have been disussing the point that if you
order a
256kbps circuit you actually get 256kbps in each direction, or 128kbps
in
each direction, or 256kbps combined/half duplex. Can somebody let me
know
which one is correct?
Many thanks
Brett Lewis
