I don't know because I haven't tried it. I've seen that config ('voice vlan'
with 'mode trunk') in a Networkers presentation, but according to the docs,
'voice vlan' should be configured on an access port. This is mentioned in
the 3550 and 3500 XL docs. Perhaps the command is compatible with 'mode
trunk' and just applies the CoS map/trust, etc. The default for 'mode trunk'
is to allow all VLAN's.

My 3550 hasn't arrived yet, so perhaps someone with a real switch can chime
in.

Thks for the explanation,

One for more thing if we use auxiliary VLAN option then the VLAN's allowed
automatically are only the access vlan and voice vlan.
Now if we use the dot1q method are the VLAN's allowed listed as all ?? / or
is it just the native and voice vlan ??(because of the functionality of the
switchport voice command)
