Hi,

Treat "default-information originate" like a shortcut to redistributing
static default route into ospf domain.

        Subject: OSPF- default info originate

Hello Group

pls help in trying to understand the default-information originate
command,

Area0-----------r1--------------r2-------------r3

r1 is in area 0 with other routers, r1-r2 and r2-r3 are in area 2.
r1 has a default-information originate statement by which r2 recieves a
default route which points to the r1 link (r1-r2)
my question is will r3 also rcv a default route from r2 and will it
point to
the r2 link (r2-r3)

many thanks
naresh
