February 14, 2001 I passed the CCIE written
March 2, 2003 I passed the lab in RTP (This test is hard!)

For all those that DIDN'T help or encourage me, EAT MY SHORTS!

Now for the upbeat stuff.

IPEXPERT: This tool helped me focus, train, and master the core
technologies. You have to have a road map. Without a map you are simply
wasting time. GET A MAP. I chose IPEXPERT out of pure chance and it
worked out great. Personally, I bought a home lab to mimic their setup, but
no matter how you get access to the equipment, this is a roadmap and you will
need to use REAL equipment. The
E-Scenerios are a HUGE help as well. Basically this is the only LAB tool I
used. Then of course I read most of the other books, CCO Docs, etc. 70% of
this test is still core topics. YOU HAVE TO MASTER THE CORE TO HAVE A
CHANCE. I have no affiliation with IPEXPERT other than using their book,
but highly recommend it as a study aid and road map.

You can pass this test. You just have to decide how important it is to you.
If you want to pass it, then by all means dedicate yourself to the task and
do it! Do not let people or work side track you or get in your way. If
you are unsure of your own dedication, don't bother it will haunt you month
after month year after year. Do it or don't do it.

Glad to be done with this one......

P.S. Here ya go Davie your recognition in lights. Thanks for being an
ankle biter and badgering me night after night, hour after hour, and minute
after minute.

Always Wanted To Write That Speech,

David
