By default each chap peer send challenge frame to neighbour. The neighbour
router return a MD hash value back, the sending challenge router calculate
a MD hash too and compare result, in efect authenticate or not a peer.
The ppp authenticate chap callin command stop sending challenge frame when
a router is made call to other router, so stop authentication process in
this direction on this router too.
So, you answer is correct.

Subject: Simple ISDN question -
I have seen this question asked before, but I am still not sure,
If scenario asks, " r1 should not authenticate", only r2 should
authenticate.
I am thinking I have to setup ppp authenticate chap callin on r1,
Is this correct?
