I can't violate the NDA since I haven't attempted the new lab, but I
have read a lot of postings by those who have.
Search the archives and you will see configuration issues on many
features of the 3550. Since Cisco has put two 3550's in the CCIE Lab pod
you can bet they want candidates to be familiar with advanced features -
otherwise they would have saved themselves the time and expense and just
used a couple of 2924XL's.
Reading between the lines of posts since November I'd say that
configuration of the 3550 is critical to passing the lab. Several
candidates who passed with a minimum of practice stated they had read
the 3550 config guide from cover to cover.
