Hi all,
In a network like one below, what is a good and common practice:
EIGRP 11
R1----WAN---------- R2----------------------R3
| | |
| | |
-------Core------EIGRP 12---------Core-----
| | |
| | |
| | |
------Distr.---------------------Distr.-----------
Network: Typical three layer hierarchy WAN Distribution, Core, LAN Distribution.
WAN Distribution: three Cat 6509 with redundant GIGabit links to core
Core: two Cat 6509
LAN: five Cat 6509 with 4 redundant Gigabit links each (Etherchannel) to core
Routing: LAN --> Core ---> WAN Distr = EIGRP 12
WAN ---> Remote Offices = EIGRP 11
There are no links between 3 WAN Dist switches.
Problem/Question: all the routes comming through first WAN Dist switch should be advertised to both other WAN Dist switches and vice versa. Its very hard to get a summary route from WAN side, there almost 200 routes comming in to the core from different remote offices over WAN switchse. What is the best soloution to redistribute EIGRP 11 process on each WAN Dist switch into EIGRP 12, or integerate the EIGRP 11 process into EIGRP 12 process?
Any other suggestion are appreciated as well. Thanks
Kind regards
Azhar Mehmood
