OK, I am having difficulty understanding the assignment of metrics
during redistribution on some labs I am doin.
The answer states the following:
router ospf 10
area 10 virtual-link 15.15.6.6
redistribute connected metric 100 subnets
redistribute isis metric-type 2
network 10.1.5.0 0.0.0.7 area 10
network 10.1.11.0 0.0.0.255 area 0
!
router isis
redistribute ospf 10 metric 32
net 00.0001.0100.107b.fdc0.00
Now why on earth would one assign a metric of 32 and 100? What
significance does that play and would it be wrong to have put 50 / 120
or something else? Doesn't AD play a larger role than the metric?
