Dear all,

Can we share some of powerful documentation search tips? a few clicks getting to the target
certainly offloads a great deal info that otherwise one would have to memorize... I'll get this
started and hope we can share the tips!

I mainly do a quick search on the indexes of conf guides and cmd refs w/o using the search engine.
Prorior to that I spent a great deal of time reading through virtually all conf guides so that I
know how to get there "mannually" if the quick index search fails. I use Internet Explorer that
has a few shortcut keys e.g. Control F for search, Alt F for repeat the search, Alt v o to list
recent visited links etc..

Examples:
(1) search "modular qos" under conf guide index, get to a sample cbwfq/policy-map.
(2) search "callback" get to sample ppp callback configs, "crypto" to get ipsec configs....
If there are multiple returns for the keyword, then attached doc sources normally tell the
relevance. E.g. search return for "crypto" w/ source "SC"(Security config guide") indicates it is
more likely what we are looking for.

In general, search conf guide for sample configs and cmd ref for syntax.

Any other tips? please share them.

TIA
