No problem. No special config required; just program the frame switch as if
that is all it is being used for; just program the routed interfaces and
routing protocol(s) as if that is all they are being used for. Both sides
will work fine. You may have a little trouble viewing "show run". I've
always used my FRS as a "BACKBONE ROUTER" injecting routes to the network
and running either an IGP or eBGP.
