Administrative distance is always local to a particular router.

Subject: EIGRP summary address

Hello,

I'm summarizing some loobacks on R5 and I'm seeing the summary on R3
with the
more specific routes supressed as I'm supposed too, but the admin
distance is
90 on R3.
What is the purpose of putting the distance at the end of the below
command is
distance is only local?
interface Ethernet0
 ip address 172.16.35.5 255.255.255.0
 ip summary-address eigrp 35 172.16.55.32 255.255.255.240 5 <---- (there
is my
distance of 5 configure on the ethernet of R5)

Here is what I see on the R3 side:
D 172.16.55.32/28 [90/156160] via 172.16.35.5, 00:04:41,
FastEthernet0/0

Thanks,
Rick
