RE: Pix IOS 6.2 failover

6.2 introduces a feature known as LAN Failover where a dedicated ethernet
interface can be used to implement non-stateful failover. You no longer are
required to use the 3 meter serial like cable.

Stateful Failover, as always, requires the use of an additional dedicated
interface for passing state info. This interface should be equal to the
fastest interface in the box.

Does that mean Failover cable is needed no matter what type of failover
you do ?

If you are referring to State full Failover than Yes. But the 3rd interface
is used in addition to the Failover cable.

Has anyone used the failover feature of PIX IOS 6.2 where the 3rd interface
is used instead of the failover serial cable?
