Note that Taggining does not work with RIP v1.
I like usinig Tagging ( if you have two redistribution points between the
same two protocols) and if RIP v1 is involved with another routing protocol
in this instance Distance command works nice.

I believe you can use tags when doing mutual distribution between OSPF and
another protocol.
When redistributing into OSPF assign a tag value for the redistributed
network(s).
When redistrinuting OSPF into the other protocol, write and apply a
route-map denying any route from OSPF that has that tag value.

Subject: Redistribution Loop avoiding, best way
Hi Folks,
1)What is the best way to avoid redistribution loops if we are
redistributing
at two points in the network.
2)By just redistributing with metrics, are we good.
3)I have read cisco documentation and seen the usage of Tag parameter when
redistributing into OSPF, how good is that.
Any good links on CCO, will be a great help.
Thanks,
Sunil
